Roger Lewis is the founder, and creator and Sr. Editor of the MusicMaster™ Series for Piano, The MiniMaster™ Early Childhood Music Program and the recently added Senior Series for Piano (for adults who don't want to sound like children).
We've also just finished and trademarked a NINE lesson series called "How To Become a Chord Building Expert™. Our innovative teaching materials and philosophy has propelled the MusicMaster™ studios to success for over 25 years. He is the principal trainer of teachers and other users of this curriculum. There are other teachers using our materials in various parts of the U.S. and our home state of Utah. He currently teaches the imitative, big-sounding pieces to the students in our studio and he created the 42 big sounding arrangements. He enjoys teaching piano to the 70+ students currently enrolled in the program. Roger also loves golf and fishing. He spent several years playing with jazz trios and quartets. He really enjoys playing and teaching improvisational style piano and writing choral arrangements. He has an interest in the accompaniment styles that are used for cabaret style singers. And an interest in what some call "The Great American Songbook". He is convinced that learning to improvise can and should be taught to anyone. "Music readers who can't improvise are deprived. Improvisers who can't read music are deprived". "Work is not, after all, the busy running back and forth in established grooves but the supreme energy and disciplined curiosity to cut new grooves." |
